About the role
The Production Line Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of one or more frozen food manufacturing lines, including dumpling, tangyuan, and noodle production. This role requires strong leadership, an operational mindset, and a commitment to maintaining Synear's high standards for product quality and throughput. You will work directly with line operators, quality assurance staff, and plant management to meet daily production targets in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled environment.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise 10β20 production line associates across one or more shifts, providing coaching, performance feedback, and corrective action as needed
- Monitor line efficiency, output rates, and waste metrics; identify root causes of downtime and implement corrective actions in real time
- Coordinate daily production schedules in alignment with production planning and supply chain teams
- Enforce GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards, allergen controls, and all internal food safety protocols
- Conduct pre-shift and post-shift briefings; maintain accurate shift logs, production records, and yield reports
- Partner with maintenance on preventive maintenance schedules and urgent line stoppages
- Train new hires on line procedures, equipment operation, and safety standards
- Support SQF/FSMA compliance audits and participate in continuous improvement (Kaizen/Lean) initiatives
Requirements
- 3+ years of supervisory experience in food manufacturing or FMCG production
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
- SQF Practitioner certification or equivalent food safety credential a plus
- Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Mandarin strongly preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods in cold (34β40Β°F) environments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production tracking software (SAP a plus)
